How does Openprovider work?
When you sign up as a reseller at Openprovider, you can have your first domain of SSL certificate active within a few minutes. How can you do so that fast? On this page, we give a clear explanation of how Openprovider works.
Sign up as a reseller
The first step is to sign up at Openprovider. This is a fully free subscription without any obligations. After all data have been submitted, your account is active and you can log in.
Payment
All orders at Openprovider are paid from a prepaid balance. That makes payment the first step after signup. You pay a minimum amount of € 100, and after that you can order all Openprovider products. Your balance will never expire and is refundable at all moments. Payments can be done using creditcard, iDeal or bank transfer.
Enter customer data
When you order a domain or SSL certificate on your own name, you can omit this step. But big chance you order for a customer of yours. In that case, you create a customer record in Openprovider. This will result in a code, a so-called handle, that can be used for all future domains, SSL certificates or other products that you order for this customer.
Register a domain...
After having checked the availability of a domain, you enter the customer handle, and chooses whether to use your own nameservers, or the nameservers of Openprovider. Then we send the request to the registry, and in most cases you immediately get the confirmation your domain has been registered.
...and order an SSL certificate
When the CSR (certificate signing request) has already been created on your server, the certificate almost is yours. Enter some data, and we send the request to the CA (certificate authority). If, for example, you ordered a QuickSSL certificate, all that is left is a confirmation by e-mail, and the SSL certificate will be issued immediately.
Manage your domains
All your domains and SSL certificates are managable through our clear control panel. Changes are requested at the registries in realtime.
Afraid of expiring domains? Forget it, and use the auto-renew functionality of Openprovider.
